Previews of Javier Negrín – pianist‘s beautiful Granados/Mompou album, tracing the rich influence of Goya on Granados, of Chopin on Mompou, and hopefully soon, of Javier on all of you! For the first time ever, Granados’ own sketches of the Goya paintings which still hang in the Prado museum, where they first inspired the composer to write these masterpieces, are presented embedded in the artwork accompanying the CD.

A unique album, for its passionate interpretation, which we feel sure will become a reference recording, as well as for the charming personality of the pianist that the performances convey, for its warm sound (how could it not be, recorded in the Canaries!) and for the playfulness yet coherence of its packaging. Highly recommended!
